Just a brief word on this subject....

....the contests are designed so as not to be a burden to participate in. Some guys have nothing but time and that's great, but others still have jobs, businesses, families or whatever going on. Our primary goal in putting on these contests is to offer a quality handicapping experience that focuses on the "quality" of the play; and not the "quantity"!

The Gapfire contest lends a nice balance for all players -- first, it requires a minimum of 30 plays which means you have to be somewhat serious about your participation to actually qualify for prizes; second, it allows those who wish to play a max of three plays per day the opportunity to do so; and third, it allows those who either lack the time to play every day or the inclination to make a play or multiple plays every day, the ability to compete.

In conclusion, this particular contest was all about R.O.I. over a significant number of plays and had nothing to do with the quantity of plays. Another thing to point out is that contests need to be manageable from the scorer's point of view.
