DQ with coupled entries question

In the 4th race at TDN just now the came over toward the rail and crossed in front of the causing the horse to take up. The closed well for the win with the finishing second and the a distant third. My question is, if they determined the cost the a placing would the have been DQ’d from the win spot? I was alive to the for a nice pick 3 so I was selfishly hoping for the DQ but wasn’t sure if the would have been DQd from the win spot as well.

We have the option to disqualify both parts of an entry if one of the horses commits a foul,” said Pete Pedersen, one of the Hollywood Park stewards. “But in order for that to happen, we would have to be convinced that there was collusion, that a jockey on one of the coupled horses was bothering another horse so that his stablemate could win.

Here is the Ohio rule:
3769-6-58. Entries may be disqualified

When a horse is disqualified, the other horse or horses
in the same race coupled with it as an entry, in the
discretion of the stewards, may be disqualified.

It happened last year, also at Thistle, and the stews did disqualify the other part of the entry that finished first. That was when the owner Ron Paolucci threatened to quit the sport completely. That part of the story has happened yet.

I actually think that rule is too narrow. It should be permissible to disqualify uncoupled entries too. Indeed if anything there's an even greater danger there.
