“We had some arrests in Brooklyn where they had guns, [and] hopefully [Brooklyn district attorney] Eric Gonzalez will keep them in, [but] I can’t guarantee that’ll happen,” Monahan said. “But when it comes to a burglary [at] a commercial store, which is looting, they’re back out. . . . Because of bail reform, you’re back out on the street the next day. You cannot be held on any sort of bail. I spoke to [Manhattan district attorney] Cy Vance about that, he told me there’s nothing he can do.”

ABC made a big deal about the bible Trump was holding in front of the burnt out church. Some leftist reporter yelled out "is that your bible"? Trump replied "its a bible".
The assholes dissect every move he makes. Even characterizing him over who's bible he's holding. Church-goers beware, if you don't bring your own bible to worship service, bad...bad...bad!!! ABC news says so.

When the protesters angrily chant for the police officers to "Take a knee"...and the cops, along with their police chiefs, drop to their knees in compliance...does such an "obedient" act HELP, or hurt the police's cause? I'm a little confused here...

Does it really matter? What it does show is that the cops now feel their hands are being tied. Now I know some here will say thats a good thing. I for one do not think so.
Cops are trained and taught to do their jobs. They have to make split second decisions in many cases. EVERY day is a day where they may not go home to their families, all in an attempt to better the world in which they live.
Im sorry, but from my vantage point, it's one of the most thankless jobs on the planet. I sit here and watch some of these protesters spit, throw vulgarities, bottles, rocks, etc etc while the cops maintain ranks and try to hold lines. If a cop swings back, they almost assuredly lose their jobs.
This is not to say that there isn't the "rogue" cop. Cops are a mere cross section of our society at large so to expect anything different is fooling ourselves. Yet, and rightfully so, they are held to a higher standard because of a badge and an oath.
I seem to recall as children, we all took an oath. Every morning as class started, we said a pledge. It was a pledge to our flag and what it stood for. What happened to us being held to that standard???
Now we have the crazies running around, burning flags, protesting, killing at will, all the while cops are being told in not so many terms, be careful and dont touch???? Are you kidding me????? And when they rightfully arrest someone, major politicians and Hollywood elites are just bailing them out???
Sorry, but I would take my badge, place it on the desk, and say let it be what it will be.
Then, let's see where all these little pussies are when there is no law and order.
Sad but this country is declining rapidly.
