If you read my post (since I am the one who posted the porch incident) I SAID people were asked to go inside and that I, being a reasonable person, would have done so.

(despite that it was paint, there are those who are ultra-paranoid during an adrenaline rush.....as well as crazy).
Common sense needs to prevail.
I am polishing my apple here as I was at an outside estate sale, somebody had their truck parked on an incline, it must have popped out of gear, and while everyone had their greedy eyeballs STUCK on the item that was being auctioned, I shouted out and screamed and then used my arms and hands to push everyone outwards so they would be aware of the danger......I had to *touch their person* to do so, as my yelling wasn't gonna be enough.... Because they were going to be mowed down by a Ford 350 pickup headed straight for them. .
This is situational awareness. That's all it is. If you are the kind of person who loses your focus when you are out and about, then you are a sitting duck. So you see ARMED guardsmen yelling to go inside......guess what you should do?

So, explain to me what you don't like about Chief Acevedo. He seems to me to be a sincere guy. With a heartfelt message.
And he says it's "not just about Mr. Floyd" and I have to agree with him.
Where I disagree with some of you guys: we'll have 15+ pages on looting TVs, but hardly-a-mention about Richard Burr and Kelly Loeffler --- who are, for all pracital purposes, looters (IMHO).
Its like all the things elites get away with every day, that you and I would be in jail for most likely, and a black person might actually be dead for.
Anyway, here is Acevdo. Do you think he's totally off base?
