Developing Racehorses

In The Handicappers Condition Book, James Quinn, devotes one intresting chapter on the development and handicapping of three year olds. Can any forum members suggest any other book that explores this issue in depth. JimL

dave Liftin

In Liftin's first(Real Life Handiacapping) book he talks about explosive lines , its prettygood iff u like form cycles/ speed figure patterns... in nutshell he says when a 3 yo exceeds his best speed figure as a 2yo a horse is ready to improve. he might regress if raced back within 6 weeks or so. bottom line its evidence of a well maturing horse. ....
