BUMP

Good to see Aqueduct named one of their Starter Stakes (if that's the right term) on Saturday for this guy.
A true old school type. I looked up his lifetime record and I got different data. Some sources say he ran 58 times, 63 times or 78 times. You get the picture though...RACEHORSE.
Won the Fall Highweight, Westchester, True North and Charlestown Classic. Won three GrStks at age seven.

His father (Arromanches) ran 78 times & his grandpa (Skip Away) ran 38 times, so it's no real surprise that he was durable.

Tragically, and I'll never forget when I heard the news, he died in a terrible training accident when he collided with another horse.

Just seeing his name brings back fond memories of the type of horse that this game used to thrive on. A runner that ran frequently, you could actually follow for a few seasons, and really come to love.

Caixa Eletronica

Caixa Eletronica
Remember that horse well. Brought it every time.

Not an elite horse, but exceptional.

Arromanches was a fun horse to follow, he won ten in a row at one point

"Caixa Eletronica," by the way, literally means "Electronic Box" in Portuguese - but it is actually used to mean "(Internet) mail box."
