The Super Derby that year had a ton of speed. Arkansas Derby winner Zarb's Magic, uber filly Vivano, The Barking Shark, and Panamanian wonder rabbit Prince Heaven.

Zarb's Magic's last win came in a 5k claimer at the age of 10. He wound up winning 23 races in all, many in claimers and starter allowance races. He had a hell of a run in the Risen Star/LA Derby/Ark Derby.

Skip Away had the best career, but in terms of raw talent on his best day, Formal Gold may have been the best of the whole crop. It's just too bad we didn't get to see him in the BC.
