They have to go after Franken and Conyers to prove their morally on the higher ground and then they will go after Moore and President Trump.

Operatives, do you really think these ladies are popping up because it is the in thing to do? Perfectly orchestrated revenge #U*K. This is just the beginning.

has announced he is going to resign from the Senate in the coming weeks - I guess he needs to stick around to vote NO for awhile.

It is a talking point. Look we forced two of ours to resign, so you must force the President to resign.

Al Franken did not resign.

"Democratic Senator and ex-comedian Al Franken has said he plans to quit "in the coming weeks""

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-42271979

I think that he is going to wait to see if Roy Moore is forced to step down, "if Moore wins".
Should Moore not be forced to step down, Franken could change his mind about resigning.
If Moore loses Franken will have no choice but to honor his resignation.

It was a nice resignation speech he gave today. Hate him or like him. So far , at least, none of the accusations took place after gaining office, just like Mr. Trump . They both had completely different lives before deciding to run for office. Konyers and Moore are different stories. Not saying he should be given any consideration for that. Just sayin".

I am with him in that it is ironic. The true irony is the women Senators ganged up on him to resign for acts prior to being elected, while a sitting President, Slick Willy, who sexually abused women had been actually protected by woman at the time.

Truly ironic. I wonder why Franken didn't bring up the factually on point irony of woman protecting Clinton for actual behavior in office?

I don't like the guy but if I was him I would announce I am resigning but will run to reclaim my seat in the Special Election to fill his seat. That way if he wins, he comes back and says "the people of Minnesota spoke knowing all the facts".

I know it's been said here 1000 times, and there's no point in making it 1001, but Monica Lewinsky was not "sexually abused" by Bill Clinton. She has stated many times that it was a consensual relationship, and there was no "abuse".
