Why are we supporting NATOA anyways?
Are you guys prepared to to go war for Europe?

I'm not.
You guys whine about health care here, and welfare here, blah blah blah.
But you support flushing all that one down the drain over a continent not WORTHY of defending.

After TOW world wars caused by the European morons, if they can't be ready to day, then they DESERVE to be overrun by Russia. F-em.

You can't stop Europe from being weak and useless.

I don't understand why liberals are so upset about the President asking our allies to fund their military so they are operational. If they actually fund their defensive capabilities, it will result in lessening the burden on the U.S. which will make more money available for social programs and infrastructure repairs in the U.S.

The only countries that are weakening NATO are those countries who neglect their military by under-funding it in favor for social programs at the expense of the U.S. taxpayer.

Obama agrees on NATO

From the shrieks in much of the British media after Barack Obama’s Nato “free riders” remarks you could be forgiven for thinking the president had gone out of his way in an interview with the Atlantic Monthly to criticise Britain, France and other allies for mishandling the bloody shambles which is now Libya.

A pompous French politician popped up on the airwaves to suggest Obama should look in the mirror. “Obama lays blame for Libya mess on Cameron” thundered the front page of the Times. Surprise, surprise, the long and thoughtful interview, optimistically billed as The Obama Doctrine, wasn’t ALL ABOUT US. It is 20,000 words long and if the offending passages occupy more than 800 of them I’d be amazed. Obama is critical of many people, including the US foreign policy elite and the oil-rich Gulf autocracies.

Mind you, when it comes to the Nato allies, Obama is right. Sheltering under the big American umbrella since 1945, most Europeans have become comfortably well-off and lazy, more concerned with having a nice time than with the basics of self-defence. The richest undefended empire in history – as I like to call the EU – is facing growing problems on its eastern and southern flanks. Both refugees and related violence press on us from Syria, Iraq, and across north Africa to Morocco, and Europe is making a very poor job of tackling them. Of course, we’re free riding.

I don't understand the uproar from Americans about our President telling the truth, like Obama did, about the Europeans free riding on the backs of American taxpayers.

Does anyone think Russia helped Merkel get elected in return for Germany building that pipeline and becoming more dependent on Russian oil?

Maybe they will open a special investigation in Germany into this obvious Russian Collusion. Or maybe they aren't quite as stupid as we here in the USA are, to do such a thing.

That's one thing Europe has going for it I guess...well...Germany at least...

The E.U. allowed Germany to do what it could not do through two world wars. Germany has complete control over the European continent.

I take it you disagree with Obama stating the European's are free riders by neglecting their obligations to provide for their defense.
