Results

Top selection- 36% Winners, -$5.30
Top 2 Selections- 54% Winners, but a poor and negative ROI

Results were not great, and it seems primarily because of extremely poor results at Monticello (27% Winners in top 2). Both The Meadows (64% Top 2 Winners and flat bet profit) and Harrahs Philadelphia (64 % Top 2 Winners) seemed to do well narrowing races down.

Is the program geared for value favorites or middle or long shots?

Glad to be back Ray!

It is geared towards winners, I hope lol. I do not have anything in the calculation using odds. It seems as though the top selection or 2 is usually chalkier than those ranked 4th or 5th. They seem to hit a higher percentage, but lower value, however, I am able to eliminate horses based on scratches, or horses I feel are not able to be competitive against the field.

It is a nice mixture of a great deal of factors. The main issue I have been having is 1/2 mile tracks. It is killing 5/8's and bigger.

I was a big follower of the Sartin Methodology with thoroughbreds, and incorporated that a little, along with trackmaster speed/class and driver/trainer combo's. It is actually a tough and complex algorithm, however, it is quite nice to have the track completely handicapped in seconds lol.
