Race One:
MY FAIR LILY. Top-flight jock: Manny Franco. Trainer: “Mechanicsville Chad” Brown. Brown does well w/Beaten faves. Turf-to dirt. On the shelf. This Smoke Glacken-bred (wet-track sire) filly just missed breaking her maiden on muddy surface at Belmont in late Sept. Solid recent work. Should benefit from outside post. Others: 2 Tough Old Bird; 4 Shimmering Moon; 1 Julia’s Music
Race Two:
NO TEXTING. Wet-track pedigree. On top: Stormy Atlantic (Storm Cat). On bottom: Victory Gallop (Fappiano). Jose Ortiz. Nuff Ced. Trainer Rudy Rodriguez having solid “A” meet. Class drop. May go right to top. Recent-decent work-tab. One-for-one on off track. Others: 6 Back Scatter; 4 Bustin the Bank; 1 Glowing Ember
Race Three:
SILVER MISSION. Has faced better: New York state-bred stakes company. Last seen: NY Breeders Futurity at Fingers Lakes. In that one: vied early but faded. Did win The Tremont at Belmont. Back with kind this colt can handle. “The Louisiana Kid,” Kendrick Carmouche, is in the irons. Should be out and going. Jeremiah Englehart does well in most racing categories. Decent morning work. Others: 1 Girollo; 4 He Can Dance; 3 Thirsty Donnerstag.
Race Four:
STONY BROOK. Solid wet-track pedigree: Smarty Jones-Elusive Quality (Gone West). Just missed in last. Cuts back a half-panel. Liston, LA’s Kendrick Carmouche has his feet in the stirrups. Trainer Jason Servis does well in most racing categories. Should be out and going off the gate. Others: 3 Gorelli; 5 Starry Messenger; 8 Chosen One Elijah.
Race Five:
PICTURE DAY. Outside post. Jockey Jose Ortiz for Linda “All In The Family” Rice (she’s having an excellent “Big A” meet). Rice does exceptionally well w/beaten favorites. Recent claim: good numbers off the claim. Solid wet-track pedigree, e.g., Elusive Quality. Will move up on wet surface. Others: 4 Making Havoc; 5 Mama Joyce; 6 Mastic.
Race Six:
OUR CARAVAN. Third against better on wet surface over one month ago. Can handle route distance. Wet-track pedigree: Awesome Again, Elusive Quality. Angel Arroyo has found his mojo; picked up the pace. Trainer David Jacobson does extremely well with drops off a claim. May well be on or near the lead. Others: 7 Castaway; 6 Don Dulce; 1 Derby Glass.
Race Seven:
MR PALMER. This A.P. Indy-bred has been the model of consistency. Will benefit from wet going. Better starting post. Kendrick Carmouche, “The King of Philadelphia,” for trainer Joe Parker. Recently claimed out of Linda Rice barn. This gelding should be ready. Has hit tote in eight out of 12 tries at distance. Others: 7 Skill Not Luck; 1 Banner Bill; 3 Clowney (Jadeveon at “The Razor” (Gillette) Sat. nite).
Race Eight:
DEVINE DENTAL. This Silver Train-bred bay colt draws rail. Should be in perfect stalking position. Manny Franco in the irons. This 3 year-old hasn’t raced in over two months; yet trainer Jeremiah Englehart does very well in that racing category. Englehart also does very well with horses that are making their first start with new trainer. Others: 6 Kid Sadove; 2 Oneballnostrikes; 4 Mr. McFrosty.
Race Nine:
UNBRIDLEDADVENTURE has been holding her own in this New York state-bred 25k claiming company. This Storm Cat-bred filly has hit the board in both her route tries. This bay has solid wet-track pedigree. This filly should be in contention early on from her rail starting post. Manny Franco is in the irons for trainer Phil Serpe. Serpe, although winless at this current “Big A” meet, does do well when conditioning maiden claimers. Others: 7 Beyond Discreet; 4 Refined Lady; 5 Knockerra
