Wise Dan...2014 Makers Mark Mile. To be a Turf specialist...it looked like he just glided over the surface.

John Velazquez is quoted as saying Wise Dan is the greatest horse he has ever ridden.

Gotta put one in for stable ponies. Steve Hobby sure has taken care of this one, he's like royalty at this point.

No slouch as a racehorse, when he was, either. Sometimes its hard to believe a horse who ran this many races, and is now at his age, and still looks so GREAT! Actually, he looks magnificent.

Wow! Can't believe this guy is 26. He looks like a Lipazzner Stallion.

I remember Chindi as a hard hitting stakes level sprinter at the Fairgrounds years ago running against the likes of Bonapaw and Abajo. Thanks.

What a horse man, I bet on him so frequently even at short odds, and he never let me down. Thanks for bringing him back to memory.

2007 Nostalgia...

Curlin was cool.

One of my personal favorite 'best looking' horses, as well as a horse that I have a ton of respect for.

"Curlin wins Preakness by a head"

In fact that whole 2007 Derby Trail class, which included Curlin, Street Sense, and Hard Spun et al., was a lot of fun.

And, all three were good looking colts!
