Two Vaxes
Flu and shingles. Got them Thursday, one in each arm, and felt that night like I'd been dropped from a building into a furnace. Outer bicep (on shingles side) still aches like big rhino bum rushed me, but fever abated and weird throbbing in lower abdomen mercifully gone.
For context, a great friend, my bestie for decades, nearly died of shingles last year and remains much diminished. So there's that. But my corollary motive, primarily concerning the shingles shot, stems from research implying that the vaccine reduces risk of alzheimer's.
Incidentally, with covid attempting to re-rally here, I did ask mr pharmacist about a triple-jab (believe it or not, medically feasible), but the great man of medicine informed me regretfully that his store was not dispensing that service and added, for good measure, the he himself had noooo intention of seeking the latest booster.
