2021 Racing Dates

Looking to find out which new tracks I need to add to chart downloads for 2021 I come up with these:

CHE 03/28/2021 - 03/28/2021 (TB) CHESHIRE
CRA 08/06/2021 - 09/06/2021 (TB) COLUMBINE PARK
HMP 05/09/2021 - 05/09/2021 (TB) HORSEMAN'S PARK
TTC 01/01/2021 - 12/31/2021 (TB) THE THOROUGHBRED CENTER

Several of these are evidently training centers showing up for a day or two so I don't know why they're showing up here with scheduled dates for conducting actual racing. There used to be a separate page for abbreviations for training centers and what not as opposed to actual dates.

https://www1.drf.com/Entries/RacingDates.do

Anyone have any background info? Especially Columbine Park, I don't see a shred of info online about any such venue. I don't think we're going to see a months worth of thoroughbred racing going on here: https://bouldercolorado.gov/parks-rec/columbine-park

Cheshire (in Pennsylvania) was supposed to have their first National Steeplechase Association sanctioned race this year, but it got postponed (as did most of the NSA racing).

Columbus (though not Columbine) ran August through Labor Day in 2018 and 2019.

Pre-COVID, the Horseman's Park near Omaha would run in May (although for more than one day). They were next on the "circuit" after Fonner. I think they ran in October this year.

I have no idea why the The Thoroughbred Center in Lexington shows up with "full year" dates this year and next.

Thanks for the info on Cheshire, I like to throw in these NSA races for the class rankings to get a bit of a line on them. Columbus as CLS is nothing new, still not getting this Columbine thing though as CRA.

So Horsemen's Park (HPO), is not new, they ran one race on three days the 24th, 25th and 26th of October 2020.

On the other hand HorseMAN's Park (HMP) would be new for 2021. Either it's new or we chalk it up to covid-fatigue.

It sure seems odd that the CRA dates would exactly parallel CLS normal dates. I wonder if it IS some kind of data entry "fatigue".

And come to mention odd - holding an end-of-March NSA date in Pennsylvania doesn't seem exactly right either.

A few thoughts:

--- I also can not find anything on Columbine Park. Have you considered contacting the DRF (yeah, I know its' the DRF) to see what caused them to include this specific information?
--- When they show a range of dates, it is because they don't know, or don't want to list, the specific dates. The range "usually" reflects the first and last racing dates, with no indication as to how many if any racing dates are in between. Thus Columbine Park could be racing as little as 2 days.
--- Horsemen's Park Omaha ran a single 1-furlong QH race on each of 3 different dates to satisfy law requirements for keeping their Simulcast License. It is a nice smaller track with a very enjoyable experience. In normal years they run TB races on 5-8 days with 7-8 races each day.
--- As an aside, expect the Nebraska tracks to have more racing dates and higher purses in 2022 as it was recently approved to allow casinos at some of those tracks.

Where did you source the 2021 dates list you're pulling from?

I was looking here:

Typically I look here https://www.equibase.com/products/racedates.cfm but this didn't appear to be up to date. For example no 2021 dates posted for Finger Lakes yet. I would think everyone would set tentative dates by now and then if covid derails it then you go from there. Being a couple of weeks from 2021 all dates should be posted tentatively IMO.
