World Championships should never be settled by shootouts!
Make the overtime 3 on 3 and play until there is a winner.

Agree and disagree. I don't like shootouts. Also don't want 3 on 3 to determine who plays in the gold medal game. They can play 5 on 5 til the lights go out as far as I'm concerned. That being said... USA USA USA!!!!!
Recorded the game, watched after work. WOW!!!! As exciting as it gets. Recording second game also. Time to catch up there. Hope we see my friends from Canada in the finals. USA!!!!!!!!

Matthews best assist of the season. Just took and ragged the puck then made an unbelievable pass to Leo. I couldn't stop laughing either. Leo patting OrPRICK who is a tough guy was pretty close to priceless.
Ok back to the semis.....

Finally a goalie steps up and shuts the door, Ingram was a complete sieve on the first 3 shots. The boys left everything on the ice and played a classic game of Canadian hockey, well done.
Both games today were highly entertaining, congrats to the U.S. on taking down the Russians, you made my day, and best of all Troy Terry pulled off a Toews.... can anyone say 5-Hole!
It was a good day of hockey..... unless you’re a Euro.

Columbus might be a good play seeing that cj gave his team the kiss of death.

true or false reported on facebook::
A French reporter has just made some very interesting comments during her appearance on 91,9 Sports radio this morning.
According to Chantal Machabee, a well respected reporter for RDS in Quebec, Montreal Canadiens star goaltgender Carey Price was spotted breaking not one but two of his sticks against the goal posts out of frustration at something during the Habs most recent practice.
Machabee also added that Price has not been himself as of late, and while she clearly stated it was speculative on her part she seems to suspect this is injury related. She added:
“I don’t don’t what is going on, but he is not 100% mentally or physically.”
More to come as this story develops.

Maybe it just dawned on him that he plays for the Habs...

Getting ready to order crow (with the money I saved by not betting on Columbus).
Still about 23 minutes left to play, but cj appears to be right on!!

Canada vs USA Jr Championship was almost as good a game as you're ever going to see.
Both teams were top notch. Congrats to Team USA.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I have come to dislike shootouts in major matches such as these.
That's sport conforming to strict TV allotted time slots.
I don't like them in the NHL either in any game.
Overtime: 1 goalie and 3 skaters per team. In playoffs, play until it's over.
In the regular season, make the overtime 10 minutes and if it's still tied give both teams 1 point for the tie.

You will now be known as "The Puck Swami".
I really hope you took the point spread on the Caps.
What are the odds of Torts bag skating the team today?
