I’ll care more about Rick when they don’t allow Ness to run in NY.

He has his license back, but I would assume NYRA still needs to allow him back on the grounds and let him enter? Has anyone seen anything from NYRA on this?

As a rival trainer or owner or fan of the sport I wouldn't be so thrilled about him being back, but purely in gambling terms I had pretty good results with him.

That's fair, thanks.

RICHARD DUTROW JR
It is all a matter of public record that he had a drug problem with Marijuana, Cocaine, his girlfriend was murdered, he declared bankruptcy, he grew up with two brothers around horses, his father a leading MD trainer and so forth. The man clearly had problems far greater than horse racing related and he you could argue his character is flawed or he has battled a lot of demons. The evidence on his problems with the horses apparently pales in comparison to a lot of alleged people who are doing things far worse to the horse. I still am miffed based upon other posts on other trainers who actually is not a clean trainer and where is the proof and in that regard, how many violations are enough to support the argument they are not legit, what level violation etc etc.
I really think that is a fair question given all the statements made including by me at times. If BB had three, or two would have it been OK because Asmussen just had one or whatever. Remember Mullins years ago, or Baltas recently. I mean I am pretty objective here.

He paid his debt to society, which is what we want offenders to do. Wishing him the best as he restarts.

We agree on this one. The guy lost his license and livelihood for ten years. Whether or not you feel he deserved it, he deserves another chance. I highly doubt there will be any lenience going forward, especially given this basically coincides with HISA.

The great irony.

We can include Belmont in that, just don't expect me to bet synthetic.
