It looks more like a questionairre than an article. There is so much space in between paragraphs. Could you not have a more lengthy discussion at the beginning, perhaps to tell the reader where the article is going, in order to make it look like an article?
There are quite a few questions. I think I lost interest in going through all of them, maybe if you cut out some questions, like the one about rebates you could coment on that later as a footnote or an aside.
Needs a better title, what is the purpose of the article? How to make the best use of your money? or something like that?

another thing I think is off-putting is that you give a person a survey to complete, then you give them someone else's answers and your comments to those. But there is nothing to help the person who just answered the survey. What about my answers? I just took the survey and now I have to read someone else's answers?
I would feel a bit cheated I guess to take the time to answer the questions and then have to read an analysis of someone else's answers. It seems to me.
One thing to do would be to actually set it up as a survey, where the person imputs his answers and at the end he gets a result like: "You are a problem bettor" or "you know what you are doing" or something. Obviously this would take a bit more web design, but probably you could get one of those cgi programs or whatever they are. I guess it depends on how much work you want to put into it, but adding more stuff to a website can be rewarding.
You could still do a summary w/o an automated program where the person self scores it. 5 tps for answer "a" 3 pts for "b" etc. That might be interesting if you cant set it up to automatically be scored.
So to summarize, I guess if you want to make it a survey make it a real survey. If you want to make it an article, then make it look like an article. Get rid of all that white space and write para.s more than 2 sentences.

important to have a business plan; check your assumptions, set realistic goals, have a plan to achieve them, etc.
good advice for anyone not already doing it.

If someone has the hope and expectation of winning $40k I would think this is based on having won a substantial amount in years past. A bankroll of $2.5k would seem like an absurdly small amount to be willing to put on the line.
If the first few months go according to form, even if you are starting with $25 bets, the accumulated bankroll should have increased to the point where the larger bets would not be a strain.

I thought I gave enough info that anyone could fill in their own answers and do the math. It isn't a program, it is an article.
I'll fix the formatting. That is the last time I paste from Word.

I did fix the formatting. Like I said, no more word for me. I have to remember to check stuff for IE users such as Ron.

I like it cj. It is very simplistic. New people to the sport would not back away from reading it thru, and, hopefully be honest with themselves. Like sjk said, if it is a veteran who has profitted at some time already, knows most of this anyway. You did state more to follow, so wise choice of what to start with.
Good Luck

Fair enough...but if you can't take the time to answer 9 simple questions, this article isn't for you.

I think it's a swell article...to be honest.
I'll see what I come up with.
I'm thinking the Ravens go out their second game....by the way.
