Maybe they just a Yen to get in on some of that Global Dough before the World wakes up. Now it could be a little hotter in Japan special around Fukushima, but over all the globes been hotter and cooler and will pass thru those cycles again. So to think we have any impact long term on climate is laughable.

In global warming bets, record 2015 heat buoys mainstream science
Cambridge climate expert to win $2,830 after record heat
* Record heat in 2015 supports wagers on long-term warming
By Alister Doyle
OSLO, Jan 20 For British climate expert Chris Hope, new data showing that 2015 was the hottest year ever recorded is not just confirmation he's been right all along that the planet is getting warmer.
It also won the Cambridge University researcher a 2,000 pound sterling ($2,830) wager made five years ago against a pair of scientists who reject man-made global warming and bet Hope that the Earth would be cooling by now.

See another reason to manipulate the data... for personal gain.

None of this will wake up PA climate deniers.
After all it is a peer revived paper, and we all know the paper out Monday in the journal Nature Scientific Reports used evil leftist cosmic conspiracy money to lie again.
http://www.nature.com/articles/srep19831
The Likelihood of Recent Record Warmth
Abstract
2014 was nominally the warmest year on record for both the globe and northern hemisphere based on historical records spanning the past one and a half centuries1,2. It was the latest in a recent run of record temperatures spanning the past decade and a half. Press accounts reported odds as low as one-in-650 million that the observed run of global temperature records would be expected to occur in the absence of human-caused global warming.

Another nail in the coffin of the incredibly wrong cosmic "POD People" conspiracy theory where every source of data was manipulated by we evil leftists (in cahoots with the International Communist Party, and of course Fat Al Gore), by paying off all the sources of data no matter where their data comes from:
1)-The sneaky Japanese
2)- The sneaky Brits
Now the independent sneaky
3)- notoriously conservative Berkeley Earth project which was originally created questioning the global warming consensus among scientists, . But even they were unequivocal about 2015 setting the record.
Hadley Centre SST data set (HadSST3)
The Met Office Hadley Centre's sea surface temperature data set, HadSST3 is a monthly global field of SST on a 5° latitude by 5° longitude grid from 1850 to date. The data have been adjusted to minimize the effects of changes in instrumentation throughout the record.

More on the improbability of the climate denier's COSMIC "Pod People" conspiracy. I can imagine the response HERE will simply be: of course British researcher David Robert Grimes peer reviewed study was also paid off by Al Gore et. al
How likely is it that scientists are engaged in a conspiracy?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-...nce&ir=Science
Quantitative analysis of scientific conspiracies
Recently British researcher David Robert Grimes published an interesting study wherein he attempted to quantify the likelihood that a scientific conspiracy involving a given number of people will persist more than a given length of time. One key parameter for his probabilistic model was the chances of a single individual revealing a conspiracy within a single year. For this he took three genuine conspiracies, including the Prism project revealed by Edward Snowden, as a baseline.
On the Viability of Conspiratorial Beliefs
http://journals.plos.org/plosone/art...l.pone.0147905
Grimes then examined the following four alleged conspiracies:
That the Apollo moon landings were a hoax (involving 411,000 people).
That climate change is a fraud (involving 405,000 people).
That the fact that vaccinations are unsafe is being covered up (involving 22,000 people).
That a cure for cancer is known but is being suppressed by large pharmaceutical companies (involving 714,000 people).
