Winnipeg acquired legitimate centerman Paul Statsny for the run to the cup.
Great trade again Mr. Cheveldayoff.

CAPS gearing up for a 1st round series playoff loss.
(Wait, the way they are playing, particularly with Holtby in a slump, they might not even make the playoffs!).

Happy St. Patrik Laine Day everyone!!
This kid is really special lately he's on a 14 game point streak, longest ever by a teenager. 16 goals in 12 game span, tops. plus scoring at near 50% shots on goal. WOW. and 77 goals as a teenager, second only to Dale Hawerchuck 85 and Jimmy Carson 95.
Best and most accurate shot in league right now. He has also left his office and is scoring from everywhere. Way to go Patrik!!!

LEAFS WIN! LEAFS WIN! Always a good day when the Leafs beat the Habs, even though Montreal is not very good right now.

Patrik Laine and his boyhood idol Alex Ovechkin are battling for the Maurice Richard Trophy, both players currently tied with 43 goals.
Asked by a reporter after taking a hit from Ovechkin in their very first meeting
how he felt Laine replied ' I will never wash that part of my jersey '
The kid is a great interview. Saw a kid about 8 years old at the game last night with a Laine beard scotch taped on. Hillarious!
When is the great Matthews returning?

Laine really wants to play after taking a hard shot block to the foot.
Wants to outscore Ovechkin.

PITTSBURGH PENGUINS WIN!! move on tho the 2nd round! 12 more wins! down 4-2 pens score 5 straight goals. and for the guys who said R Sheahan was garbage he won many faceoffs and is not trash! and how about J Guentzel scoring 4 goals... 19 in 31 playoff games. and the "no call" tripping on 'Tanger, was just that a no call. he touched the puck first!

The NHL head office in New York does not want a Canadian team ito go far in the playoffs.
There is no way that Toronto should have had 6 penalties called against them in Boston on Saturday while Boston only took 1.
Edmonton ran into the same officiating bias last year.
Mark my words. Winnipeg and Toronto will run into that problem again the farther they go in their series!

WHY? why would the NHL do that. the teams in Canada that missed the playoffs were just bad teams. and as the "fabulous sports babe" said "SCORE MORE POINTS" mayb Boston has better goal tending..
