Greg,
Are you and Steve using the premise you are using the first 2 horses in the
sort or are you using 4 horses in the sort and taking the longer of the odds
( also using the t/j combo )?

Everyone has their own methods...we post them up to help each other out. Steve's method--as he's shown---has been profitable.
REB Ron uses the top-4 method and use any longshots.
Me personally...I just use the top two and let the chips fall where they may (Aqueduct only though) This method has proven profitable.
It's a matter of what your research tells you--that's the fun of horse racing and I wanted to put that part into my programs.
One thing about Steve's method---he didn't post it with the winners he showed--but @ AQ CINDERELA EL CROME 48.00 was another of his winners...as was on my method.

Since I've become much more confident in my pick-4 play with EXOTIC BETS! I actually played my pick-4 ticket from the contest today.....nailed it!
I played this ticket for $10 in the contest (total $120)--but only played it for a buck (total $12) @ Twinspires:
If you're an exotic player---or want to improve your game....you may want to take a look at the program

This is a look at the PICK-9 feature of EXOTIC BETS PROGRAM. Here's how I play these horizontal wagers:
There are 4 different handicapping "modes"--I print them all and line them up side by side.
I first circle any longshots...then start circling horses listed more than once. This really makes certain horses stand out--and constructing a ticket with horses listed 4-3-2 times..and adding in any longshots.
Also check the hot list and comp report. Deciding what to play becomes easier this way.
ARCHUMBABY & MARIA GOT EVEN---both 8-1 ML--were listed 3 TIMES!
I decided to play the Late Pick-4 for the contest--and hit the $380 payoff--11 times.
You can use this 4-Way Report feature for exotic contenders or win bets--NCG
.

Interesting TIP SHEET today @ MVR.....saw a good one in the first glance.
MISTAKE was 6-1 ML...#1 rated Platinum Power and also #1 T/J%. I also didn't mind he was NOT overbet #1 Prime Power...might just get the 6-1 ML.
Looked up and what did I see....MISTAKE one of two VALUE PLAYS of the day--That sealed the deal. (The other Value Play-Fashionably Handsome-ran 2nd)
2nd race #1 Mistake $21.20 $10.20 $5.60 ...sometimes it's that easy

I go out of town for a few days, come back and see this?? What the heck is going on with you Greg? I had to go to the standings to verify this wasn't some kind of tall tale you're trying to spin...
current standings through 3/5/17
congratulations to NorCalGreg who cash $3938 with a $11 win and
coacht who cashed highest on Saturday for $732.50 winning 098poi's card
$ 12,445.50 ReplayRandall
$ 9,362.25 NorCalGreg
$ 8,528.25 Bennie
$ 7,635.75 rondee (RDSS)
$ 7,383.75 johnhannibalsmith
$ 7,059.00 098poi
$ 7,008.25 dogkatcher (RDSS)
$ 6,881.25 DeoVolente
$ 6,451.50 AxleLode
$ 6,344.75 122425 -
$ 6,326.00 MONEY
That's a modest pick-4 hit Greg, which you whacked 11 times!.....So, no more resting up in the mountains for me, I'm refreshed and ready to go. Now we've got us a real contest, gloves are off, Kid....BTW, no offense to the other players who are quite capable of taking us both down..

That's the beauty of the pace view products, everyone has their own favorite method to use them.
I personally play against low odds-low ability-lower power on NJX.
Grind out some money.
But there are no big hits like NCG.
Just steady profit.
It like ho hum another loser another 25 dollars in profit.
It's not for adrenaline junkies.
