Maxine Waters and her multiple on air appearances poisoning the Jury

Multiple reasons a change of venue should have been granted

There are more but most relate to similar issues

A successful appeal would only make the first trial a mistrial. The prosecution could, and probably would, refile the charges and there would be a second trial.

Yes, but the defense would now know the entire prosecution case and jury reaction to it. Chauvin would probably have better representation too. Not a slam dunk he gets convicted twice.

It does not seem that he has gotten a fair trail due to the facts cited by justralph. In addition, the City of Minneapolis announced a civil settlement with Floyd's family immediately before jury selection began.

Antifa Maxine's comments directly threaten the safety of many of the jurors.
IF he is found guilty, I can see a new trial with a very powerful high power law team representing him.

But this trial exposes the total fraud the dem party is.
Waters HAS to be impeached.

IF local authorities had any balls they would issue a warrant for her arrest.

Even more ridiculous than this stupid bitch's mouth - she had a police escort!

Real American's can't have police and can't have a wall, but Congress has polices and a wall.

Dems are not Americans.

Johnson and Johnson, please develop a vaccine for liberal progressives, a disease far deadlier than Covid.

incorect and the article you posted summarized it incorrectly. when testifying on rebuttal, he mentioned test results about blood oxygenation (98%) and inferred that CO levels cant be higher than 2% from that. he never mentioned the CO test results that the judge warned prosecution about. in fact, the judge specifically ALLOWED the oxygenation test results to be discussed. watch the video and testimony again.

maxine waters and everyone else who keeps bringing up the trial are absolutely fu**** idiots, guy is gonna walk and is guilty as all hell

Let’s see what really happened.
Dr. Fowler, testifying for the defense, theorized that carbon monoxide from a running car may have been partially responsible for George Floyd’s death. He speculated that Floyd may have had as much as 18% CO in his blood. I say speculated, because no one at the trial had any actual test results to refer to.
After Dr. Fowler’s testimony, the prosecution was contacted by Dr. Baker, who informed them of the existence of test results definitively showing the CO in Floyd’s was only 2%. But the judge refused to allow those test results into evidence.

Where you (And the author of the article you apparently read) are confused, is that the prosecution found a way to present those facts without using the banned test results.

The Jury had already heard testimony and seen test results showing that the Oxygen levels in Floyd’s blood was at 98%. Simple addition and subtraction tells you the amount of CO cannot exceed 2%.
Judge Cahill was very clear that presenting those test results would cause a mistrial. There was no mistrial because the Prosecution found another way to rebut Dr. Fowler’s testimony.

You don’t know the jurors even heard those comments. They weren’t sequestered, but they were under instructions to avoid the news. Furthermore, Waters’ comments were mischaracterized as calling for violence. Confrontations are not necessarily violent. They are protected by the first Amendment.

Good reply. Maxine Waters should be more careful about what she says, but we know that is not going to happen. None of the things JustRalph mentioned are grounds for a successful appeal in my opinion.

The judge thought differently.

A not-guilty verdict would serve a lot of agendas well...so I wouldn't be surprised either way, to be honest.

A not-guilty verdict would prove to me there is a lot more fakery out there then even I had considered possible.

A guilty verdict seems to be the slam dunk here.

But...
