The rhetoric about gun violence, accidental deaths etc.. appeals to the masses. If the democrats with power now were not the totalitarians we know them to be, I'd be for tougher gun regulations too.

But the left gives us evidence every day, whether it be in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, parts of Europe and our own government that they will use their power to impose their will on people by locking their bank accounts, restricting their travel, restricting access to entertainment, firing them from their jobs, confiscating their farm land, lying to them about health issues etc..

These are evil people. There is no other word than can be used other than evil. That's true even on the occasions I agree with the "intent".

If they'll do that to an armed population, imagine what they will do to an unarmed population.

And again, I want to be clear I'm not talking about rank and file democrats that may have different solutions and priorities to our common problems than those of us that are right of center. They can't see the evil in this because they often agree with the policy. It's the "imposition" of those values and policies under threat of destroying your life that makes the leadership (and their backers) evil .
