It's not snap chat.

How about the FLASH PMI numbers that came out this morning...right around the time the market turned...what was that reading?

When did Snap Chat release earnings?

The S&P was at 4016 right before 9:45...curiously, that's when the Flash PMI numbers came out...

I thought snap reported after hours YESTERDAY. Even if they delayed until this morning...they didn't report until after the market opened at 9:30?

That would be bizarre...

Anybody know?

Unless someone tells me snap reported after the market opened today, I stand by my comment.

Fuck what anybody writes in the media...they don't know their assholes from their earholes.

Imagine the market tanking because of snapchat, a rinky dink 25-35b company...

Just because THEY blame a drop on something, doesn't mean THAT'S what it was...

What were the PMI numbers this morning?

Funny enough, right when the market decided to tank, THIS WAS RELEASED:

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/u-...my-11658498760

It was PMI...not SNAP...but the media doesn't like to keep talking about stuff that reflects badly on those in charge.

Flash service PMI showed CONTRACTION in the service sector for the first time in 2 years....THAT'S what tanked the market

Important pending news releases show up in RED on my trading platform...since last night I was looking at that red FLASH PMI on my screen...

Imagine thinking it's snapchat...LOL

PMI came out at 9:45am....and it was DOWNHILL from there

Congressional Buys

NI

DUK

both stocks are energy related. I've suspended the insider buys and sells while the Saratoga meet is going on. that is taking up to much of my time.

Thank you to Wal-Mart for being the adult in the room and finally someone significant cut guidance.

We are still nowhere near the interest rates we need to fight inflation.

I agree with you on SNAP. My opinion only, but the major retailers, WMT, TGT, and COST were the biggest drivers in the market today and last night. After killing it during a pandemic and now in JB's surging economy? they're reporting shitty numbers. This is totally not scientific, but I do all the shopping for the last three years since my wife has a compromised immune system, and my eyeball test says shopping carts aren't as full in the last few months, and seems like a lot less of them in the grocery aisles. Reeks of a recession, especially with the food prices all at double digit increases. And I'm still not sure we're going into an extended downturn or not. My opinion changes every week.

Microsoft said they still see 40% growth in their cloud business and they don't expect any falloff in corporate business (ie business customers will not cut spending at all).

Good luck with that.

But hey, the market seems to be fine with it.

You know I'm long always. But this sort of seems ridiculous right here. I've got stuff that I bought two weeks ago up 10% already. Seems too much too fast

I sold off half of my index tied funds today. Feels like too much too fast. I'll sit it out for 30 days and see what happens.

I can pick and choose which shares to sell, I chose to sell ones that were about 2% loss.
