No Affirmative Action in the Belmont Stakes. A Triple Crown winner should beat the best horses in the world.

Coburn is a boor without equal.
He's the same mouth that blasted Churchill Downs at the Preakness.
I hope that his 15 minutes of fame in the sun is over.

I only had a problem with him calling it a cowardly way to win. He didn't say this after the Derby or Preakness when he won. Would it be a good thing? maybe, but that's why you must be an ALL TIME GREAT TO WIN IT!!

He knew the rules of the game when he sat down at the table. You don't get to whine about the game being unfair after you lose.

Could you imagine what he would have said, if Chrome lost with the nasal strip off?

Yes, he did say it a couple of weeks ago...
But they won then...
Now, he lost, so he's the bad guy.
It's a tough world for losers.
And, yes, I'm with the crowd. I didn't pay much attention to it last time.
But this time is looked like the guy had no class.

Mr. Coburn seemed to be really upset and I can certainly feel his pain.
I also have to add that all of what he said is complete BS.
If he is serious about his comments, then he simply is clueless as far as what the TRIPLE CROWN is all about...
Horses like California Chrome, Big Brown, Smarty Jones etc simply do not deserve to be next to names like Secretariat, Seattle Slew or Citation!
They simply are NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
Period.

Yes, if I had to lean one way.........I agree.
However, it's magnified frustration once a mic is shoved in your face after being so close.
