World's oldest person dies at 119

https://www.cnn.com/2022/04/25/asia/...ntl/index.html

She was born in 1903, the same year the Wright Brothers took their first flight.

I find this fascinating. In one person's lifetime, humans went from not being able to fly at all, to landing on the moon, not to mention all the other technological innovations along the way...it's really mind-blowing when you think about how far we've come in such a short period of time.

And how advanced other civilizations out there in the universe might be who've been at this a lot longer then we have.

As I aged, I began considering what happened 3 times my age ago as a benchmark. Right now they were just signing the Declaration of Independence. Consider the progress science has made since then. It is mind boggling.

I've noticed at 68 over the past few years I've not only slowed down, but just a bit, however I seem to trip over stuff a lot more. So there's no way I'll make it to 119.

That can't be right. I felt a lot older than that this morning trying to get out of bed.

Damn Margaritas.

My father was born in 1905 in rural Poland. No electricity no running water.

One of my greatest joys was to see his reaction to our astronauts landing on the moon.

He cried.

Less than 65 years. Think about that seriously.
