The director of poker had the master gameplan and pulled off sometimg I thought was impossible to be done......
The way the room is set up its an addition to the casino.....management made people wait in line and only let in enough people at a time to open a game....at 10:50am when I got there there was a line of about the length of the Churchill downs strech......and at 12 it people started filing in....there was no cutting lines or just walking in and sitting down you HAD to wait in a 400 person line
Oh and if you though about just strong arming and getting in room there was police at the door
If you left and were coming back you had to give your player card to the security in front
This was such an effective move I can't explain it....inside the room it was total calm.....52 tables running like the room has been open for years....
Besides management doing a perfect job the action was insane....
1/2nl
2/5nl
5/10nl
10/25nl
15/30
15/30 high low
4/8 Omaha
4/8 holdem
2/2 PLO
5/5 PLO
4/8 7 stud
52 tables packed by 3pm......it will be the best run poker room in country

Calm down...The place has been open for a day..
Did you see event 1 on Tuesday at the Borgata? 2 million guaranteed for their opening WPT event on a $500+$60 buyin... That's sick.

will wait for ww's official word, but I've heard 10% up to $5 max with $1 bbj and that some higher games are time.

10% to a $5 max, $1 Jackpot in HE only
No flop, no drop
Timed rake starts at 5/10 NL
5/5 PLO and 15-30 Limit are also time raked at $7 per half hour.
Reduced rake when 6 players or less.

Come on Whizz lets not be unrealistic right now. The Borgata is a top 3 poker room in the world. I understand you are happy to be working there and I hope it works out for you but your room will never break into the same stratosphere as The Borgata.

If Thaskalos makes the trip I'll drive the two hours and meet up with you assholes.. Depending on what stakes he plays... If hes playing something like 10-25 then we will certainly not be at the same table.

Thaskalos may invade Maryland in a big way.
I am looking for a place to move to once my son goes away to college...and this new poker room just might tilt the scale Maryland's way.
To be honest, I was looking for a place that's a little warmer during the winter...but with poker action like this, I doubt that I'll be outside much.

I would definitely come down... It's not that far at all. We could play, grab dinner and drinks... (Not sure if you drink but I'm a pretty big beer drinker).
