You don't have to dick with it.

If you see it blows out the page, you can quickly edit the post, find the image link, highlight the full link, then press the button all the way on the right (second row of editing icons on top)

It's called the RESIZE button and it will wrap the link in tags that will automatically reduce the image to fit the page.

I know it's not ideal and I know it should do this automatically...but that's how you do it without having to edit the actual image itself.

From a website, click "Copy image address" then select the insert image bitton, which is between the insert email addres and quote buttons to the right of the buttons on top.
Pasre the address herr and click ok.

OR

copy image address, paste in your post, then surround it like ythid
