Any bikers here? Motorcycle question.

Hi, I don't know the first thing about motorcycles, but I am holding a fundraiser this Saturday and it happens to be at a huge motorcycle bar in Maine. I got a bunch of items donated from Harley Davidson, but I want to get a few extra items for a raffle/silent auction. Does anyone know any cool raffle ideas that bikers would like?

Obviously I'm not looking for items that are really expensive, as I will probably be paying out of pocket or asking for it to be donated. Just looking for a few items that would look cool at the raffle table and generate interest.

Thanks!

I haven't ridden in a long time and not the quintessential Harley guy, but if it's a Harley-type-of-crowd, I suspect that saddlebags would be an easy accessory to generate some across-the-board interest. Likewise, helmets are a must (for most) so can't go too wrong if you go fairly generic in appearance even if they are to be used solely as a backup or spare or so the odd non-regular passenger isn't greasing up the regular passenger's. Gloves would probably be cheap enough that even if they weren't everyone's cup of tea, they would at least take up space and get some bids.

As stated, I'm not into Harley culture, but I suspect that the things that a rider needs or almost always has would be easier to move and attract a broader group than would something more specific like chrome accessories or other mods that just might be too much dependent on individual taste.

The 75th Annual Sturgis Rally will be happening in 10 days. I would go to the links provided and see what interesting items might be found for a reasonable price.

Harley brings way too much lifestyle to the mix for me, which is one of the reasons I have a water boxer. I also prefer a water-cooled bike that doesn't look like it was designed by a cartoon loving twelve year old.

Check out the Harley online gift shop for ideas.

Motorcycle books, videos, decks of cards, dice, packs of Marlboro smokes, small tool kits, and of course coupons to the local tattoo parlor should work.....

Saddlebags, helmets, gloves and possibly goggles. I just sold my bike last weekend.

FYI, a biker I used to work with related that full face helmet shields and chewing tobacco don't function well together.

Hope that helps.
