Tom Smothers Dead at 86

I'll always remember his variety show with his younger brother Dick (where Tom's tagline was, "Mom always liked you best!"), as well as their earlier sitcom, in which Tom had died at sea and come back to earth as an angel to help Dick. (Tom was always on the phone talking to his angelic superior, Ralph.) What a great team (both comedically and musically) they were!

I remember watching the first run of the Smothers Brothers show but seem to have forgot a lot about it not being politically correct for the time period. I read up on it on Wikipedia. I think MeTV on Sunday Nights has shown reruns of every 50's-70's variety show except the Smothers Brothers or they have and I missed it. The last couple months of Sundays they have put on Carroll Burnett and Ed Sullivan. It is funny to see all the things on TV from days gone by that aren't PC these days. Cher making fun of Sonny for being short and Italian would not even fly.
