Sports betting is the far better option for me without question. I am strictly a baseball bettor when it comes to sports betting. By the way, someone mentioned about a 7 cent line, I actually got a nickel line some years back which was sweet.

As far as the bookmakers go, it has been my experience that some will flat out refuse your action. Not too many; but some bookies have told me that have done it but rarely. Once one actually told me that he would continue to take my baseball action if I promised him to bet football. I told him sure then never bet a football game and he dropped me. The was the only time it happened to me. I know some bookmakers that don't care what size the bet, they take the bet, and never lay it off. Others may piggyback your bets; sometimes they will ask who you like on a certain game that you are not even betting. It all depends on your relationship with the bookie. But regardless bookmakers are not going anywhere. Where else can you bet on credit? It's a cash business on settle up days.

which type of betting is the good deal?

all forms of betting offered is a tough racket

focus on what you enjoy, on what you can afford, and 'enhance' your entertainment while you enjoy the action

Stewards are inconsistent. That hurts integrity. Lot of bad-beats, and general annoyance. It could be a 'pet-peeve' if you obsess over it.

The pros and pro teams... are betting 'overlays' and they are betting within a bet-size / bankroll philosophy... It doesn't phase those players any more than any other loss.

if you want more out of it, I can't write anything useful to you in a brief post

I have trained or mentored a few stewards and invariably advise them thusly: Never fall into the trap of comparing one incident to another in the interest of "consistency." No two incidents are exactly alike. What MUST be provided, however, is consistently good JUDGEMENT.

And that policy, btw, should, in my opinion, entail some flexibility with certain rules applying to disqualification calls.

Ok Mr. delfman, maybe we can get you back on the right track.

Today at Saratoga I strongly believe HARVEY'S LIL GOIL will outrun her odds.

IMO she's worth betting a few bucks on.

Let's GO

I fell on the AS TIME GOES BY in that race.
only in the contest I played.

I thought the fav. might be beatable and or didn't like him at less than even.
honestly I didn't really like any horse in that race, but in retrospect I should have fallen on the 3 with Franco riding for the first time. If only you could forgive her last race.
Thanks for the tip anyways. here's hoping I hit the KING FURY in the Travers

Well, the good news is that you are done with betting on the horses and you will never have to go through this again.

Until next time.
