Oaklawn Box Seats

My partner and I have a box at Oaklawn. We do not use the box except on weekends (sometimes we do not go) and sometimes weekdays.

If any of you are going to Oaklawn and we are not using the box, I would be happy to let you use it at no cost to you. Just send me a private message a week ahead of time.

This is just my way of thanking everyone on this board for help I have received from some of you.

The box is #237 in the paddock building right above the paddock and just past the finish line. It is at the end of an aisle right next to the window that is by the Owners viewing stand.

Very generous of you John, thank you! Too bad I can't take you up on the offer, but I hope someone else will...

Thanks for kind offer

Hey, now I have more incentive to plan OP trip. Looks like several trainers are aiming for Rebel/Arkansas Derby as Kentucky Derby prep route. I know that Larry Jones has Hard Spun in training there.

$1 million purse for Arkansas Derby should attract some nice 3YOs.

If my plans develop, I will get back with you, Arkansasman.

Used to be years ago if you slipped one of the red-jacketed ushers a ten he would find you a good seat, often in a box, after the first race or two. Does that still work?

Pace,

I think that will still work. In the Seventies, you could do that during the week, but on weekends that would not work.

Even though I'll be nowhere near Arkansas, I appreciate your kind offer. I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks John, a very generous offer! I was by there last spring for the Apple Blossom and Derby but didn't hook up with you. I'll make sure I do this year, hopefully to shake your hand and say hi.

I don't have box seats but HS is home. If anyone is coming and wants info on resturants, places to stay etc PM and I will do my best to give you some good pertinent data. The town is starting to really grow.

John: A very kind offer indeed! I have a good friend of mine who lives in Little Rock, so I may take you up on your offer. I agree with the poster who said he might make tickets available at Monmouth, I might just arrange to meet someone in Tampa (like I did with RR Bauer last year) as my guest at the races for a day....Fantastic gesture on your part John!
