Getting away from Irad for a second..from just a handicapping perspective do you lean toward forgiving or tossing What's Up Doc's race or not really?

OK, we can agree to disagree on that. I do not think they are incompetent.

Frankly, this is a bug boy vs a journeyman situation. If it wasn't Irad, all the people whose heads he inhabits wouldn't be whining.

If 100 non-racing people were asked this question "Which sport has bug boys and journeymen?" there would be 0 correct answers.

Put up in the 9th today. It is probably the right call, except the same stewards rarely ever make this call in similar situations.

Well, the 6 went out about 4 paths and bumped the 1 and cost him a placing. The DQ seems consistent with what I usually see.

I could find many, many worse incidents on the circuit that were left as is, but so could you if you wanted to look.

The devil we know is often better than the devil we don't know. Getting taken down on a winner is way more painful than not moving up a position if you only "may" have been best.

I guess that's one of the benefits of nobody caring much about racing anymore...they don't even read the hit pieces....

There's a story there, and don't think that in todays news climate that someone won't exploit it to sell a few papers or get some clicks.
