these days if you go to the host track, they don't give you enough time to bet a horse off the break. some give you enough time to cancel though. if there are people betting after the bell its being done from remote locations. before simulcasting, some tracks allowed people to bet after the bell.

It's a 'pad' as in flat laptop device, and it runs the same simulcast/betting interface as the betting terminals/machines.

You can get a card, or deposit cash/voucher into an 'account' (password/pin). That pass/pin acts as a voucher when you cash out.
