Plays for Wednesday morning at The Valley

Race 6 at 8.10am ET
Telecom Speed (5-1) Was able to get one more run in Class 4 after an easy win in his last at 10-1 after racing mid-pack and accelerated from the field with 150 to go after a couple love taps from Bowman. Should have plenty left from that effort and the nine pounds shouldn't be too much of an issue. Current favourite is the Super Joy N Fun who won his debut at 12-1 but had to really get fight to the wire to get up by a head. Purton's runner Golden Bull is breaking from the outside and prefers to run second. Crystal Powerful gets a much better draw after closing in his last after racing wide.

Race 8 at 9.15am ET
Joyful Hunter (7-2) Beaten favourite two back after getting up at Sha Tin at 3-1, then raced in the back third of a 14 horse field three wide in the turn and five wide into the stretch and just lacked the needed kick to chase down the top three finishers. Now he's back at the track he's unbeaten at with Atzeni who's now had a trip with him. Hopefully he races a little closer to the lead here.

Race 9 at 9.50am ET
Beauty Infinity (2-1) Just missed as a beaten favourite with Purton riding him for the first time, was taken up going into the backside turn and raced a little rank for the next 100 metres. Raced two wide in the turn and then drifted out to the six path and almost chased down the pace stalking winner while beating the rail trip light weight third place runner by almost three lengths.
with

Others to watch for:
Race 2 Chiu Chow Brother (8-1)
Race 4 Dragon Star (5-1)

There was nice mid-week ASS KICKING! And it wasn't tempered any by the fact that I slept through it.

Gave back all that I won last Sunday. Said I'd limit my plays at Happy Valley and I didn't stick to it. When horses run well with difficult trips, then come back with more favorable posts and/or jockeys, and in some cases get significantly easier trips, they're supposed to run even better. Not what happens at Happy Valley. Or, to a lesser extent, at Sha Tin. Even if a horse eventually wins, the overall return is obviously less since you've had to follow it for multiple races. Never played a circuit where it was so hard to figure out when the connections were actually trying.

Got to limit my plays at HV.
Need to get up early and play it live.

I keep hearing about people from the U.S. betting on HK tracks.

Which wagering site hosts live casting of HK tracks and allow you to wager?

Fanduel, Xpressbet, Twinspires and most likely NYRA BETS

The circuit is not for the meek, it will humble you and often, with its big fields and significant weight differences in the handicap races. If you can stick it out, and a lot of good handicappers can't, it will make you a better handicapper for it.

Race 1 Dragon Pride his last win was a second race back in class 5 last March. He seems to come to life at this class level with 4 wins and 2 seconds in 10 races at this bottom class level. Had a troubled trip in his last and with the long run down the backside and his running style, the outside draw shouldn't be a issue. He's 25-1 with 11 minutes to post.

Race 2 Prosperous Smile (33-1) went off as the second betting choice in his debut 109 days ago going 5 at the Valley. Dueled in between runners until the top of the stretch with the winner Happy United has since beat Class 3 runners. Leading trainer Ng is taking off the cheek pieces here, but still should show some speed here.

Race 3 Northern Beaches (15-1) Won three back at 1.000 metres as the betting favourite, had some issues at the start in his last at the downtown track. Draws in with an outside post with the short run to the turn, so hopefully Teetan will find a way to get into the two path and not any wider.

Race 4 Amazing Run (11-1) Tired last out while breaking from the 12 barrier and always fighting for the lead, eventually tiring late. Again, draws in with an outside post but picks up Purton for Hayes with these two having a very nice season together so far. The other speed in here #6 breaks from underneath him so he should be able settle on his outside.
