I want a match race between Tacitus and Code of Honor.

I don't think either one of them could win.

Finally done.

You missed the particular thrill that comes from this situation when it unfolds live.

Countless times I have been at the track, bet a horse I thought was the controlling speed, and then cursed the jockey as I watched him let some other horse go to the front.

A small number of times, I have then watched the horse I bet on come from behind and win, at which point I retract my curse of the jockey.

i get (and agree with the brunt of the) joke, but man, I thought Code of Honor ran fine in the Clark, and that Owendale ran big, and may well have performed back at the level, previous to some of his failed spot-entries where his running style, his rivals' performance, and his own performance didn't work out to well.

I just kind of had Bodexpress running his 'A' performance. with what seemed to probably have turned out to be a bit more forward-favoring than it could have looked just after the break.

Not arguing that this was a great G1, but relative to season, having a deep field of playable albeit tough/random for me entrants, and at least IMO a few nice efforts (legit G2?), I thought it was at least close to a good betting race with interesting before and afterthoughts.

And Code of Honor crushes Tacitus.

The more the merrier!

P.S. I like your user name. I can recall Phantom On Tour's handsome white face on the Derby trail.

Perhaps one of the track ponies would fill in?
