The horse got it from the groom via passive means?

Imo, some interesting numbers posted by kmunster2003 in the comments beneath the article comparing the ratio of wins vs. seconds and thirds when looking at stats for various trainers.

Sadler has a ton of positives. Whats funny is he is selective when he does it, they dont always run out of their skin but when they do.

It is very hard for the CHRB to really crack down on the bigger barns given the horse population out there.

Given the slap on the wrists it feels like there is not much incentive to follow the rules.

Of course, ever heard a trainer say that the drugs were given by me to enhance his performance? Never the trainers fault.

Doesn't winning the BC Classic entitle someone to at least have their name spelled correctly?

That is an interesting theory, I'd like to see some more depth on it though since some of the trainers with the much higher win percentages had the benefit of a barn full of claiming horses, so they could really spot their horses in positions to be dominant while eyeing a number of different circuits. Guys like Shug & Mott are dealing with a higher end stock & limited race selections, so I would expect a more balanced ratio in such a situation.

Maybe a further comparison would be the WPS stats of Servis, Navarro etc in MSW, ALW & Stake races, I wonder if those would come back to the norm a little bit or if they'd continue to show a preponderance of winning results.

.
I learned more from the comments than the article.

The article seems to participate in the minimizing and deflection that Sadler was selling.

it should be interesting to see who else's names come out after the indicted trainers/vets start squealing to get a reduced sentence. I wish they would quit delaying the proceedings
