I get that your frustrated reading things in this thread, but...
Most of the issues which are mentioned here, on Twitter, etc.. are race day issues which are quickly resolved so not longer exist when the horse runs next.
The fact is providers have a lot of concern and that is why people like Craig, myself, Jeff Platt and others (who are all bettors as well) make it a priority to work together in identifying and correcting things which will appear in future horse's pp lines.

Do the other point calls ( polls) have something like that?

There are poles set up on both sides of the course that create a beam between them (for beam systems, not GPS or Trakus). When a horse (hopefully) trips the beam, it triggers the time. There is one at the beginning of the race that actually sets the zero point. Someday I hope that will be the gate instead and eliminate run up like most of the rest of the world does.

I don't think the photo system is tied to the gate and relies on somebody turning it on. Some places use this for timing (some small tracks) but it isn't very good that way either. The beam works the vast majority of time.
The times it doesn't work are usually operator error or something tripping the beam early like a loose horse, a bird, even an outrider or ambulance.

There is an option to show that in TimeformUS, but the charts are part of a subscription.

Belmont forget to turn their systems back on today? A number of turf races with no fractions or times, a number of dirt races with no Trakus data, and a chart comment from the final race of the day that I don't recall ever seeing before (sorry for the all caps from cut & pasting):
PLEASE NOTE DUE TO TELETIMER OPERATOR ERROR THE FIRST QUARTER SPLIT AND ONE MILE SPLIT WERE
UNAVAILABLE, AS WELL AS, THE ENTIRE PHOTO FINISH AND PLACING ORDER AS NO PHOTO FINISH WAS AVAILABLE
FOR THIS RACE. ALL FINISH MARGINS AND THE FINAL ORDER SEEN HERE WERE CALLED AND PROVIDED BY THE
EQUIBASE CHART CALLERS.

AGAIN?
Race 1 today, GULFSTREAM PARK NORTH, ER, Belmont.....
Charts have time at 141.82, TRAKUS has it at 141.20
That's about 6 Beyer points.
Do the idiots who run NYRA understand people BET their races?
Someone in a management position needs to be fired.
MINOR league performance is not acceptable.
