How about we tell them we will aim high for the first half mile and then level off at them. Ready, set, GO!
Dirty bastards - this is the scum the dingbat and UpChuck want to let in.

Alright might as well chime back in here...
Ya'll remember that deal from back in January I said the President probably should take?
How is the deal-maker in chief doing now with that house vote he could get in two minutes?
Oh...
So not all that great...
Anyone remember when Schumer offered Trump the full $25 Billion? I do...
The lesson to be learned here is that Nancy isn't Paul Ryan/Mitch McConnell. You can't say dumb stuff around her and not expect to get called on it.
All of you wall supporters better hope the Turtle pulls off a miracle to bail the President out because that's basically his and the walls only hope...

Except no.
Requires discretionary spending. Is illegal. Among a host of other issues.
Its okay to admit the guy sucks at this.

Any Defense Spending has to be done through Appropriations. There are Congressional and Federal laws regarding Defense Spending and its subject to Oversight.
The Military can show up and do stuff but they can't just buy brick and mortar to the tune of $25 Billion.
That would require discretionary spending authorized by the House... as the President is learning we are a country of laws and you can't just say something and it become reality.

Glad to see we haven't been overrun by that caravan, I was nervous...
Who woulda thought existing laws would be able to turn back that barbarian horde?

He's a little slow on the uptake sometimes, though.

Oh I think they can widdle away at it with funds that they have the right to do with however the military sees fit. It may take a number of years but then the wall itself will take a number of years to build anyway. Agencies throughout the government are able to circumvent restrictions all the time. And I personally like the idea of taxing all money wires to Mexico more myself. Why that isn't being done already is amazing in itself
