Did you ever doubt for a moment that your premiums would come down under the "Affordable" Care Act?

Did your insurance premiums EVER COME DOWN pre Obamacare without switching plans for a teaser rate? Well it is TRUMPCARE now he fixed it with a swoosh of a pen. Doesn't matter what the deficiencies of Obamacare were any longer it is done. You can get cheap insurance now that covers the minimums and use the rest for a bankruptcy lawyer in the event you get sick and are booted from the plan...

Trump's executive order will have no immediate impact on health insurance. Current regulations give some large trade associations the ability to buy group policies that are exempt from some OCare rules. And some short-term policies (temporary policies for up to 90 days) are also exempt.

The order directs federal agencies to develop new rules that will expand the availability of both types of plans to more people. Realistically, such rules will not be written and implemented until some time next year, and insurance under the new rules will not be available until 2019. And no one knows what those rules will say.

Depending on what the new rules look like, the likely result is that some people will be able to buy new, cheaper policies, and that the new policies will draw a lot of young and healthy people out of OCare, resulting in higher rates for those still on those plans. All of which will increase pressure on politicians to "fix" OCare, which they will all promise to do during the 2020 election campaign.

And, as The Donald proclaimed upon signing, "people will have great, great health care.”

Hopefully... this time they'll do something about the "COST of CARE". The Affordable Care Act Obamacare was anything but... when the Government offers a blank check as a backup... the cost savings go out the window... bounces all around boys Uncle Sam's paying. There were what about 20 million uninsured prior to it and about the same number now. it just shifted the chairs.

Dem's knew it was a junk bill with a short self life... Chuck and Nancy included. They just planned on Hillary to carry on phase two of screw US.

So no jms62 it's still Obamacareless.

And the vast majority of those who did not have "insurance" before and have it now gained "coverage" by the ObamaCare expansion of Medicaid.

Very true... which could of been done without frigging up the entire workers. And partly funded with just the cost of the Web site development and roll out.. and years of Insurance slush-funding.

Names and illness changed to protect the innocent

A young lady openly talking at work (full timer) to a temp asking him why he is only willing to work ten weeks a years, and his response is that he limits how much he works and his costs with the exchange is $28 per month. The young lady has diabetes but has a near perfect attendance says how much more she has to pay for insurance, the temp responds that the muckety mucks who have college degrees subsidize his insurance. The conversation opens up to other workers unanimously saying that everyone who works 52 weeks a year is subsidizing him. This guy told all of us how nice his condo is and all he has to do is keep doing the same until he gets older to qualify medicare. Everyone wanted to know how he could live on ten weeks a year. The guy got real quiet, leads some to think that it only works for those who hardly work.

Go President Trump Go!

Not at all, I see everyone around me paying way too much to service the few. Your name of the thread is quite appropriate, every move to kill this very bad government health care is appreciated. Few understand that President Trumps recent moves cut the throat of single payer wet dream.

I totally agree. Single payer ship sailed no way they put Insurance companies out of business since they own the goverment. Trumps plan will not help us. Underinsured will still get treated. Hospitals will raise their rates to cover it and insurance companies will raise prices cause their CEO needs to make his $100 Million a year. You and I. We are ****ed as usual. At least with Obamacare they couldnt drop YOU if you or wife or kids got sick. Cant ubderstand how all these old ****s on this board cant grasp that. They are the ones that are going to get sick. They are gamblers and cant understand the odds of continued health are not in their favor.

Heed this, the vast majority get health care product at work. No way in hell is Obamacare going to survive and dictate what is covered, workers across the country hate Obamacare and want government out of it. Do you actually think the few will tell the many anything, Obamacare is roadkill and you will not be posting about it when its gone.
