No, he was never even close. 
Trump has done a lot of good stuff.
He just needs to shut his mouth and listen to people who know better. I am sure the Head Turkey made him some promises and stroked his ego. If he is too stupid to know what is going on, he can't be supported. And he has never been more stupid than this week. Never.
Third parties are a vote for the dems.
The strategic move would be to impeach him, REMOVE him from office and go full tilt Pence in 2020. Senate might just be looking at this option.....they know what a totally stupid and un-American thing this dope has done this week.
