One forgets how potentially dangerous hockey can be

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...es-hit-by-puck

A 19-year-old Russian hockey player has died after being hit in the head by the puck during a game, his club and the league said on Tuesday.

Defenseman Timur Faizutdinov was playing for Dynamo St Petersburg’s junior team in a playoff game against Loko Yaroslavl on Friday when he was struck by a puck hit from the neutral zone.

I recall the first time I saw a game in Vancouver and the puck hit the glass right near us and we all ducked big time.

Lost my front four teeth one day during a snow day at the age of 11 playing on the pond behind our house. We were not allowed to take slap shots but somebody did and the next thing I knew I was on my ass and bleeding from the mouth, still have that puck but not the teeth.

Sounds like you were spitting chicklets. That must have been a horrible experience.
