Couldn't sleep so I dove headlong into Belmont's Wednesday card.

Just finished watching and enjoying TLG and Maggie "talkin horses"

Struck me that TLG and I couldn't have been further apart in our opinions.

He hated many horses I love and vice versa.

So at the risk of being clobbered by his expertise and local knowledge I'm posting my top selection in each of the 9 races.

Also backing these plays heavily in several Derby Wars contests as well.

What the hell. I'll tug on Superman's Cape. Let's see what happens.

Giving 2 in each race. 1st is always my most preferred play.

TLG but I doubt he'd be too proud.

We were both pretty bad.

I spent quite a bit of time on the card and it was a tough day, Serious chalk or races with half the field or more with equal ability, numbers and stories. I viewed the day as pretty much random results among the serious and numerous competitors.

I did think Doukas was a stand out in the second race and he won but paid $4.90. I also liked #8 Palladian in the 6th race but his low odds (2.95 - 1) and solid competition put me off that race as well.

Overall a Cluster-F of a day at Belmont...

$250k total prize pool. 130 players. 80K to the winner.

i looked at your picks and thought, they were really bad, then I went to Belmont and found out my picks were much worse. Just one of those days.

But I certainly can't find him.

Thank goodness it wasn't Saturday or Sunday.

Those are the days I need to get something cookin.
