America's Day at the races

FOX screws racing fans again today - pulls the telecast at 4:00 to go to a football game NOT listed on the schedule - then shows a message on the bottom crawl - coming up next - ASDATR!

Lying incompetent a holes.

FOX is an embarrassment to the game wit hit's totally air-head scheduling.
NYRA - find a REAL TV network to show your product. Theses guys are pathetic.

Anyone having trouble with RTN today? NO audio for FOX or Belmont channels.

Finally got it on You Tube.

They switch to FS2 for the two big G1 races, for no apparent reason, then go back to FS1 for the last two races.

It was because of football running long. The game that was on Fox, OU / Texas, went way over time, so the next game was moved to FS1, racing bumped to FS2. Racing is always going to play second fiddle to college football obviously. I don't mind flipping around channels to see racing on mainstream channels.

The coverage and picture quality is good but it's more difficult to DVR the entire card that it was on TVG.

Yeah RTN feed was weird. Watching with KEE with the multi tracks setup and sound would keep dropping. Funny tho when I switched b/t FOX and BEL feeds the sound would return.

Today may have been the worst - FS2 for a HALF HOUR, then FS1, then FS2, and then FS1 again. AND THAT WAS SCHEDULED!!!!

I feel like I'm watching those old Monty Pythons - "And now on BBC1, a man beating his head against the wall"

The complaints about this are beyond laughable.

Fox is contracted to air Big 12 Football. They have 3 channels Fox, FS1 and FS2. The second game was scheduled to start on Fox, but the first game ran long.

Fox must show the start of the second game. So it moves to FS1.

In an effort to not screw over horse racing fans, Fox airs racing on FS2 until the contractual obligations for Big 12 Football are satisfied.

Years ago ESPN used to pre-empt the Travers for Little League Baseball and you had nowhere to go. They wouldn't switch the coverage to one of their other networks. You were just screwed.

Fox at least gives horse racing fans an opportunity to see the show.

What is most amazing is you pressed the keys on your computer or phone well over 100 times to complain, yet you only had to press your remote control once to watch the races.

I covered the football thing a few posts ago.

The only issue is a lot of people don't have FS2. But as has been noted, it is available on Youtube as well.

I’ve always loved the guy.......but today has been great.

I hope not!
Usually airs Weds-Sun showing two tracks a day...whatever is running in NY and one other track (CD or Parx lately).
I watch almost every day; excellent show.

Yeah horse racing just wouldn't be the same without this show. I just can't find it in the program schedule but I had brought up the youtube feed before so I will check there on Wed. I just don't see how they are not going to be on Thursday thru Sunday at least covering Aquaduct.
