No, but Jared has been doing so without any experience in that arena. So I guess he is equally qualified to be Chief of Staff without any relevant experience in that area.

Yes, and PRESIDENTs also have no experience when they come to office. Any POTUS, whoever THEY want to be COS, whoever THEY feel comfortable with. The POTUS's inner circle serve at his pleasure. He has a right to decide who they are.
I would worry much more about N&S Korea easing tensions and openly crossing border for the first time in decades. Who knows what mischief THAT will lead to? Why, PEACE could break out!

Most presidents have had years of experience in government, usually as a governor or senator. They know how the system works. And if they are smart, they will appoint a COS that knows the system, that knows how to manage people, and that can help POTUS get things done.

I thought that was the problem to begin with.
I will take newbie in training over a professional politician anyday.
Professional pols prevent it being a government of the people, by the people, for the people.

One of the key elements of the CoS is to build relationships with Congress so that bills important to the administration get through the legislative process. That just doesn't ring Jared for me.
