Mr Classical is the best animal in the field in terms of horseflesh, and he's fundamentally sound, and he breaks from a good post, and he's begging for the stretchout to 9f.
I don't like that he did a lot of idling during the running last time, and a lot of his running with the flow.
even money isn't exactly a great deal on a horse like this.
Weather wiz could get brave and chalk an exacta underneath. He could even win if Mr C. is sluggish.
Uncle Mojo will have to beat me. Looked dull to me.
draw well and spice up verticals

giving the the nod here from off the pace...runs very well when sprinting on a fast track. Cutback from 1m and addition of Leparoux ensures he will lay off what could be a contested pace.
Can easily get a share vs a bunch of last race maiden breakers. Have no idea about his trainer...anyone?

If you are betting wide closers into this bias you have conjones...your braver than me.
Gonna be real tough for Abel Tasman later, but the speed may be Elate, who frankly sucks.

tough betting race.
I wanted to bet Salty, but she has the track and the post position against her.
Rosario kind of has to relax until the 1st-turn is over.
Elate and the long shot Summer Luck have to hope they can secure dream position right out of the gate.
Abel Tasman may be too good.

After watching the last two dirt races...
It's almost as if someone in track maintenance decided to do a little something about the inside speed bias.

once in a blue moon, Kendrick Carmouche tries to 'steal' one of these statebred or cheaper turf routes.
had the Puparee (25/1) as 'B' reach on a cheapie pick 3, but my 4 just got beat at the wire to tear-up that ticket.
The horse has to be quick enough, and the field has to be sleepy enough. This race doesn't look blazing fast on paper, but this is Saratoga. You figure other pace will be aggressive. I'm not going to throw more money at him, but I'll watch for it.

20-1 shots gets a hustling ride and takes the race.
A lot of these riders think they are pretty smart.
They aren't.
