My mother and I were cruising away from HP when we listened in to the replay of the call (couldn't hear the actual call due to the crowd), but wow did that sum up our emotions or what?! Great call!

Vic is very good. I have no complaints about his calls.
He doesn't lay over the race - he calls it.

Do you think yesterdays Vanity was Vic Stauffers most exciting race call for him?
When i say most exciting, i mean from his point of view. He obviously has love for Zenyatta. With the turnout, the streak, everyones love for "The Queen" it must be a thrill to be able to announce that race especially how thrilling the finish was. I'm hoping he can answer this for us. I love his calls and have definitely never heard him so excited. He almost seemed choked up. Great call Vic!

If you listen very close, you can hear the smoke whistling out of his ears.
Gotta love it.

The Lava man call was Vic's best. I'd put that ahead of this one simply because this call was kind of 'similar' for lack of a better word to that one.
You can't fake the emotion, Vic is the best in the business at that because he truly cares, he loves racing and loves horses and it shows in his calls.

Probably a dead heat for most exciting with Lava Man's 3rd Holywood Gold Cup. Was indeed choked up in both because I love both those horses so much. When you love this game and Hollywood Park as much as I do. For me it's nearly impossible to not feel the passion when I appreciate what Lava Man and Zenyatta bring to the table. No announcer can make a great call without great horses, great races and the theatre they provide. That's what makes me so humbled by how fortunate I've been to be given the opportunity to call Gulfstream for 7 years and HP for 10. Thanks so much for the kind words.

Miesque hosted an event for HANA yesterday at Hollypark to see "Z" and rwwupl arranged with Vic a "tour" of the announcers booth during the third race. All had a good time and Vic and Hollywood park did a great job. Vic asked that all be quiet during the call, so Lester had to go outside the booth.
Igeteven (Lester) has some great pictures(He has a new camera) of HANA members,Vic and "Z",but he does not know how to upload them for you on Pace...If you can help him...P/M him.
