Imbreale is 60+ why would he give up his current job for a chance to call SA? On the other hand why would SA want to hire a 60+ race caller?

It's been bad since Trevor left.

Not just the race calling, but the never ending huge delays for the guaranteed pools. SA going downhill fast. The only exception being the actual downhill turf, from where, for reasons unexplained to the players, races are constantly moved to the dirt; unlike the regular turf races.

I miss Trevor. None of these callers have any sense for the drama.

"and aaaaaaaaway they go ...."

I heard that SA had a grass fungus problem last year and the grass isnt rooting correctly so they are babying the whole grass course.

I believe he was already coaxed out of retirement to come back to the Big A in a pinch ?? I do enjoy his race calls

For me Valento it was pretty basic. Every horse in the race has somebody backing it. I think they all deserved the chance to know where they stood and did they have a chance. Really not more complicated than that.

As stated many times here, he didn't want it.

I'd hire the Aussie from this weekend, I guess Evans is his name? Very easy to listen to. I like both Wrona and Frank M as well, but I think the guy who auditioned last weekend is a cut above.

I think having multiple announcers all year is boring and minor league.
Make a freaking decision and hire a full time guy.

What is this international nonsense?
Hire Frank. Clearly the best by a huge margin.

He has significant other duties at NYRA (management position re: entire communications dept., I think but not sure). To perform those duties and race call full time not realistic.

Especially at his age. That's not ideal...
