I'm not defending it, but there were five scratches from the body of the race, two being both halves of an entry...thus four betting interests in total, as the bottom two were MTOs.

Once again, I'm not defending it, just clarifying. It's a Stake race, so the participants are allowed to scratch. It's unfortunate that many did.

The heat comment was tongue in cheek...it was a surprise to see that many not go on a F-n-F day.

Unfortunate as on paper it looked like a very good and interesting race. Not sure if the connections of those scratched found better (read: easier) spots or what.
