She ran on 10/7 and won the Arc last year, then came here on 11/3 for the BC Turf. Same turnaround time. She smoked 'em anyway.
In 2017 she won a G1 on 7/15, another G1 on 7/29, another G1 on 8/24, and then the Arc on 10/1-------and took time off til Fall of 2018.
I think the trainer just gauges things on how he thinks she is doing at the moment in time but turnaround time doesn't seem to be part of that equation necessarily.

I like that spot WAY better too. It also sets him up better for big money races down the line.

I'll have to 'cap the actual field to make more decisions. In general; from the videos you posted, Four Wheel Drive looks fine, and there's also a push towards looking to see what other quality forwardly-placed horses may be entered.

Respect the look you've given Robert.
The thing I like about Four Wheel Drive is that he looked ready to pounce the entire race..........Irad pushed the button and off he went.
What helps FWD also is the course profile over the SA turf when sprinting.
Once the hill was off the table in the grassy sprints, speed and more importantly the inside portion of the course became large.........it looks like FWD can take advantage of both "friendlies" if need be.
Calling the Wesley Ward barn home doesn't hurt either.

He looks good.
For most of those that I said that I'm against - It's a 'value' thing (maybe they got dream trips, Cambria's footwork, etc..) so not necessarily tosses in a spread ticket, but I will look elsewhere for a value ticket.
I'm kinda taking a value oriented approach so far, unless I see a race that I really want to dive into. Should be abundance of value opportunities with juveniles, and in general, w/ the talent spread across a bunch of races.
FWD seems like one that has to be included. Wish the price was better.

Glad to hear that Mongolian Groom is in. Looks like the value play of the bunch, at this point.

DRF Advanced PPs out in hard copy - $10.
Great article by CJ about extreme pace prep races, one on the track surfaces by Brad Free, all the PPS, discussion on the Euro prep races and many charts of the preps.
All in all, well worth it.
