And the left think Trump is the bad guy ... Pelosi

"Nancy Pelosi Nvidia Call Options Trade
According to historical options data, Pelosi paid an estimated $380 per option contract in late November when she bought 50 December 20, 2024, 120 call options. Each option contract represents 100 shares of the underlying stock.
Those same options are now worth about $660 per option contract, suggesting an estimated gain of $1.4 million. When Pelosi made the trade known publicly in late December, it was disclosed she paid between $1 million and $5 million for the options."
$1.4M in 90 days was simply good luck lol.
Nothing to see here. Move along now.

Martha Stewart went to prison for a tenth of that amount.
If congress would pass a law saying that no one in Congress can inside trade beyond X date (say three years from signed into law), it would considerably improve the quality of Congress. I absolutely believe that. That's why they stay in govt for 40-50 years. Almost no one quits.

The wealth a politician accumulates while in office is often staggering.

... and disgusting. The blatant insider trading undermines democracy. I wonder why no one in govt ever mentions insider trading as undermining democracy. It is just part and parcel of the distrust everyone has in our elected officials. Nearly all are on the take in some form, whether it be insider trading or keeping campaign funds and distributing those funds for favors or nepotism. It's a rotted corpse at this point.

I think the speaking fees they pull in when in between government jobs is more disgusting than insider trading. What purpose does someone like Hillary Clinton serve when speaking at a business conference? She doesn't know spit about the business world. Paying her to speak is just paying for political influence plain and simple.

Dan bongino said on his show that he was once for term limits. But years ago he said someone (don't recall who, but it was a well known republican) convinced him corruption would be far worse with people coming in and out like a revolving door with term limits. They'd be 100% bought and paid for before swearing in
With what Pelosi and likely most others in are doing to enrich themselves, I don't see how term limits would make things worse. Problem is, what are the machinations to make this happen? The thieves voting this into law?

There would need to be a sunset clause in there. Like 4 years or 6 years for it to take effect.

Like they will ever turn down voting for a pay raise or anything limiting the ability of power they can keep. Fools have dreams and is why the phrase was coined.

I would settle for a HOUSE set clause for this Wicked Witch Pelosi.
Maybe Dorothy has an outhouse she could spare.
